Kevin Kane serves as the president of the Pelican Institute for Public Policy, which he founded in 2008. The Institute’s mission is to advance sound policies based on the principles of free enterprise, individual liberty and limited government.
Kevin is a graduate of Tulane University and the Loyola University School of Law, and is a fellow of the Loyola Institute of Politics. He sits on the board of the Choice Foundation, which operates two charter schools established after Hurricane Katrina. He lives in New Orleans with his wife and two children.
Knud Berthelsen is the marketing strategist for the Pelican Institute for Public Policy. His work mainly focuses on the Institute’s internet presence, speaker series and statewide networking as well as with other parts of the free market movement.
Knud has experience with the Cato Institute, the Property and Environment Research Center (PERC) and the Norwegian free market think tank, Civita. He holds an MBA from Tulane University and a BA in North-American studies from the University of Oslo, Norway. He is the owner of Knudr Internet Presence Management.
Matt Cole is a policy analyst for the Pelican Institute for Public Policy. Matt contributes regularly to The Pelican Post, the Institute’s website focusing on news and commentary. He is a native of upstate New York and a recent graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans, where he was active in the Economics Club.
Robert Rosamond is an intern with the Pelican Institute for Public Policy. Robert is a native of New Orleans and is currently in his sophomore year at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.
