We were within 5 miles of the speed limit for each occurence! I used to do my shopping for everything in Lafayette. In the last three years since they installed RedFlex their retailers have made $0.00, Lafayette has collected $0.00 in Sales Taxes. and RedFlex has collected $0.00 in profits from me. Just to make Lafayette retailers day, I make it a point to check out items I want to buy at their stores and tell the manager I am going to buy them over the Internet or in another Parish where they don't have RedFlex "Revenue Enhancement Systems". When I do drive in Lafayette, I try to do so during Rush Hour. To make sure I don't break any laws, I drive at 5 Miles per Hour!!! Never get Mad............But ALWAYS get EVEN!!! As a Constitutionalist, I fully support any fight against the raping of our rights. I have never gotten a red light camera ticket, but I do believe they are for revenue generation and not safety. Otherwise, why would they shorten the yellow lights? Kudos to Mr. McMahon!
